My small contribution to help the people of Bangladesh express themselves…
The march of technology has helped our country take big steps. Everywhere we turn our eyes we see the “e” moving in. But in this digital age when we compare the number of English fonts to Bangla we see not much has happened for us. Yet Bangla language has been honored as the International mother tongue and the number of Bangla speaking population is the 5th largest in terms of language spoken. I am currently employed as an Artist & Senior Visualizer in an advertising agency and the lack of Bangla fonts is something I feel on a daily basis. “এবার অবাক হবে বিশ্ব” under this slogan thousands gave their life to realize the Bangla language and this “Dipro” font is my attempt to enrich that language. It is my hope that this font will help fill part of the gap we all feel when it comes to Bangla font.
The respect and obligation I feel towards Bangla as a language and the ভাষা সৈনিকদের served as my inspiration in creating this font. For my design purpose I created my own font. I made several attempts to create a font but due to my multiple limitations I did not succeed. Today even during my busy schedule I made the time to convert my handwritten font into a computer usable font. Today I am glad to display my “Dipro” font for all to see. I am also glad to announce that I am working hard to make the font available for all to use on this 21st of February 2016. I alone am responsible for the creation of this completely new and different font. Follow the link below to download the font for free and help others to use the font. Even though we have plenty of creative designers in our country, there is a lack of font that we can use for free. We need to address this problem otherwise we will fall further behind.

I want to end with a remembrance to all the ভাষা সৈনিকদের whose sacrifice kept the Bangla language alive for future generations. “মোদের গরব, মোদের আশা, আ-মরি বাংলা ভাষা।”
